  1. All vehicles must be secured with 4 soft tie straps

    1. One (1) over each tire, centered in tread

    2. Straight down tightly into decking

    3. No contact with vehicle

  2. Ensure that loading skids are fully extended, and decks are bridged before loading so no contact made.

  3. Ensure that all windows are rolled up.

  4. Do not have bare hands while securing vehicles.

  5. Do not eat, drink or smoke – Loading area is a smoke-free zone

  6. No headphones or headsets allowed outside of the truck cab.

  7. Remove dirty gloves and hats before entering vehicles.

  8. Drivers must wear clean working clothes at all times (no oil/grease stains).

  9. Must wear High Visibility Vest or clothing (Do not exit truck without appropriate gear).

  10. Wear clothing without accessories such as buttons, rivets, exposed zippers and buckles (both in metal and plastic), or exposed Velcro-type clothing closures.

  11. For visibility and safety reasons, wearing hoods up is not allowed.

  12. In cold weather, wear a stocking cap.

  13. Carrying objects on person is prohibited, this includes but not limited to Cell phone in pocket or holster, sharp objects in pocket, pencils, keys, etc.

  14. No bracelets, rings, or exposed metal all items must be covered with suitable anti-mutilation protection.

  15. Drivers may not sleep on premises.

  16. Drivers must wear closed toe shoes (absolutely no crocs, flip flops, sandals or open toe shoes of any kind)

  17. Keep tools from contacting vehicle and keep all objects off vehicle surfaces.

  18. No pens or paint markers can be used in or around vehicles.

  19. Is the loading area free of debris and oil spills?

  20. Driver must ensure the VIN on the paperwork matches the vin on the dash and driver’s door.

  21. Be sure to perform a quality inspection. Start at the driver’s door moving counterclockwise around the vehicle looking for impact damage. Be sure that all loose shipped items are accounted for.

  22. Take extra care when inspecting driver’s door, front and rear bumpers, quarter panels and roofs (top 5 damage areas).

  23. Honk vehicle horn before backing out of parking spot

  24. Drivers must respect speed limits, signs and floor markings.

  25. If no posted speed limit, maximum speed authorized is 25mph.

  26. Maintain sufficient safe distance to vehicle in front, keeping a minimum of 2 second spacing.

  27. Do not travel in opposite direction of signage.

  28. Do not exceed 5 MPH when loading or unloading vehicles.

  29. Do not lean on, climb on or relax inside vehicle

  30. Do only exit through driver’s door

  31. Do not drive a vehicle with the battery cable loose to the post

  32. Do not drive on a flat tire

  33. Do not allow the engine to idle when not in use

  34. Do not spin the drive wheels, slip the clutch, or drive aggressively

  35. Do not rev the engine after starting and before turning off vehicle

  36. Do open the door with care to ensure the door will not contact any person or object

  37. All decks must be pinned

  38. Be sure to maintain a minimum 1” clearance between strap and vehicle, 2” clearance for undercarriages, 3” between bumpers and 5” between horizontal panels and decks above (roof, hood and deck lid).
