Please call prior to loading to provide an ETA and to obtain loading information.  Please pre-plan and be sure to call during business hours for all after hours, weekend and holiday dispatch needs.


  • 24/7 Loading/Except on holidays designated by BNSF
  • Driver’s License or Picture ID required
  • 1 Copies of your load manifest (yard load sheet)
  • Each unit will have a bay tag located in the driver side window or on the dash that will need to be collected and provided to the guard along with yard exit sheet in order to yard exit the units.  Please double check to ensure the bag tag matches the VIN and the destination information on the Maroney label matches your BOL.  Please call with any issues.
  • Please do good inspections and notate any and all damages with a severity code of up to a 2 (or 3 inches) on the yard load sheet and bay tag.  If damages are discovered with a greater severity than 2 prior to moving the unit from the bay, please call the Safety & Quality Yard Manager Shannon Voss @ 815-650-0065 or Christina Ray @ 815-585-6065 if Roxy is not in the yard when you find the damages or to let them know that you are missing any accessories, Do not move unit from bay if you cannot get anyone to sign off on the damages prior to loading unit. At that point you will have to get a replacement unit from dispatcher.
  • Please take pictures and add them to your Magnus app including a picture of the yard exit sheet. Have to get yard approval and signature to release the vehicle. Please note: some damages such as gauges, large dents and any broken parts on vehicles will not be released to the drivers. At that point you will have to get a replacement unit from dispatcher.
  • If units are not located in the assigned bay location, please check the surrounding bay locations and the guard shack to see if the bay location has been updated prior to calling dispatch.
  • If your load changes under any circumstances please contact dispatch and notate on your paperwork with VIN and reason for change (i.e.: missing unit, damaged etc.)
  • Driver is responsible for taking inventory on all accessories, equipment, keys, floor mats, hubcaps, books etc. prior to moving unit from the bay location.  
  • ALL LOADS MUST BE 13’6” OUT OF ELWOOD YARD
  • ALL oil/hydraulic spills must be cleaned up to BNSF satisfactory.  If any spill occurs near a storm drain BNSF must be notified immediately in order to take all necessary precautions to prevent the spread of fluids to the outside environment.  If not reported driver and company are subject to a $2000 - $5000 fine and forfeiture of contract.
  • All drivers must wear reflective vests or shirts while in the in the Elwood yard! Additionally, all drivers must stick their loads prior to leaving the yard. Height is restricted to 13’6” or less.
  • Please note: there is a 15 mile an hour speed limit and they will hand out citations for drivers failing to comply.
  • THIS IS A 4 STRAP YARD ALL WHEELS MUST BE STRAPPED FOR EVERY VEHICLES. NO SLEEPING ON/IN THE YARD FOR ANY REASON.
  • Very Important information:  Genesis units cannot be loaded on the head rack or backed onto the trailer. All must be driven on in the forward position.

After Hours Loading

  • All loads (paperwork) will be left in the breakroom drawer located in Building 203 on the Northwest end of the building. They will be in the drawer near the window labeled Accelerated Services.
  • Please contact After Hours Dispatch in case of a true emergency
  • NO SLEEPING ON/IN THE UARD FOR ANY REASON
  • No dogs are allowed outside of the truck on BNSF grounds
